Jan Erik Düring
Jan Erik Düring (born June 15, 1926 in Bærum ; † March 13, 2014 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian filmmaker.
Life
Düring began his career as an assistant film editor for the Norwegian director Tancred Ibsen and worked as a prop master, scenographer and decorator in the feature film Den hemmelighetsfulle leiligheten from 1948 and in Trost i taklampa from 1955.
He started at ABC-Film in the 1950s with the Norwegians, who also worked in the film industry, such as Erik Borge , Gunnar Sønstevold , Erik Løchen and Tore Breda Thoresen , where he worked on the Oslofilm series produced at the time . Furthermore, in the 1960s he created some so-called housewife films ( Husmorfilmer ) and family films for Informasjonsfilm A / S, which are popular in Norway .
Düring also directed the film hit Knut Formos siste jakt from 1973 based on a script by Erik Løchen, as well as the film Bør Børson jr. from 1974, 1976 Kjære Maren based on the novel by Oskar Braaten , 1978 Bak høkerens disk , 1978 Syklus , 1978 Lucie based on Amalie Skram's novel and 1985 Deilig er fjorden . Düring was also chairman of the film union Norsk Filmforbund and held a management position at Norsk Filmråd . In addition, he served as director of the film company Norsk Film A / S operates.
