Jan Hoffmann (born September 1, 1979 in Gomadingen , Offenhausen district ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .

Career

From 2000 to 2004 Hoffmann, who can be used in various positions in midfield, played in the 2nd Bundesliga at SSV Reutlingen 05 and at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and scored 11 goals in 103 league games. He then moved to regional league club SSV Jahn Regensburg for two years and was voted “Player of the Season” in the first season because of his nine goals. Hoffmann then moved to VfB Lübeck , for whom he completed a total of 56 games (10 goals) between 2006 and 2008. For the 2008/09 season he got a contract with Holstein Kiel . Due to numerous injuries, Hoffmann was rarely able to convince the Kiel team. Sometimes he even played for the second team in the Schleswig-Holstein League.

At the end of the 2009/10 season, Jan Hoffmann ended his career due to injury and took up the position of coach at the TSV Gomaringen district division .
