Jan Pietrzak
Jan Pietrzak (born April 26, 1937 in Warsaw ) is a Polish cabaret artist .
Together with Adam Kreczmar and Jonasz Kofta , he founded the student cabaret Hybrydy in Warsaw in the early 1960s , which operated until 1967 and then became the cabaret Pod Egidą in 1968 . Pod Egidą was one of the most popular political cabarets in communist Poland . The hymn of Solidarność became famous in 1980 under the title Żeby Polska była Polską (So that Poland is Poland). After the political change in 1989, cabaret lost its importance. Jan Pietrzak, however, remained a popular cabaret artist to this day, who in turn now comments on capitalist Poland. In 1995 he joined thePolish presidential election and received 1.12% of the vote.
