Jan von Hassel

Jan von Hassel (born October 1, 1974 ) is a German organist and lawyer. Hassel was born as the son of the former Federal Defense Minister Kai-Uwe von Hassel (1913-1997) and his second wife Monika.

In addition to his main profession as a lawyer , he works as an organist. In 2011 he released a CD with interpretations and improvisations on the Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Madeleine in Paris. He has given concerts at the Bonn-Beuel International Organ Concerts , at the Magdeburg Cathedral and at the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral . On December 9, 2018, the recording of Couleurs d´Orgue was presented in the half-hour program Orgelmagazin of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk MDR Kultur .
