Jana Pavlik

Jana Pavlik (born May 2, 1947 in Prague ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1966, Pavlik studied medicine at the Charles University in Prague from 1966 to 1969 . In 1971 she moved to Germany. From 1973 to 1977 she studied medicine at the University of Düsseldorf and received her doctorate in 1977. In 1984 she passed the specialist examination for internal medicine. From 1977 to 1985 she worked as a doctor in a hospital in Neuss . From April 1985 she ran her own internal medicine practice in Neuss. In the election year 2009, she ran as her party's mayoral candidate in the local elections in Neuss. From 2009 to 2014 she was the third deputy mayor of the city of Neuss.

She has been a member of the FDP since 1999.

From June 2, 2000 to June 2, 2005 Pavlik was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . From September 26, 2004 she is a member of the district council (KTA) in the Rhine district of Neuss. Since 2004 she has been a member of the district council of the FDP in the Rhine district of Neuss on a voluntary basis for the people in her area and has also been a member of the city council of Neuss since 2009.

Honors

In 2008 she was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit (Merit Medal).
