The Pournari Reservoir ( Greek Τεχνητή λίμνη Πουρναρίου Techniti limni Pournariou or Καλαρίτικου Kalaritikou ) is a reservoir of the Arachthos in Greece .

Immediately south of the town of Trapezaki, the Arachthos widens sharply and merges into the northern foothills of the Pournari reservoir. The course of the reservoir follows the former course of the Arachthos river and describes a slight curve to the west. In the middle of this arch, the river Kalendini flows from the east, whose inflow from the village of Melates also becomes part of the Pournari reservoir, so that when viewed from the air it takes on the shape of a "T". The dam of Lake Pournari is located 4.5 km northeast of the city of Arta .

This dam is also known as Pournari I ; in the further course of the Arachthos there is a considerably smaller reservoir, the Pournari II. Both reservoirs or dams (Pournari I and II) are used to generate electricity and to obtain water for irrigation purposes in agriculture in the plains of Arta.

The reservoir Pournari I is the largest water management use of the Arachthos. It has a volume of 1,840 million cubic meters and covers an area of around 20 square kilometers. The water of the Arachthos dammed in Lake Pournari is used for irrigation purposes in agriculture and for generating electricity. The waters of Lake Pournari irrigate 45 km² of the Arta plain.

The Pournari Dam is 185 m high, 238 m long and has a construction volume of 1.5 million cubic meters of bulk material. It was built from 1981 to 1998. It stands 4.5 km north of Arta .

The hydroelectric power plant supplies with three Francis turbines and generators three times 103 MW of electrical power. There are also two smaller turbines of two times 15 MW, which gives a total of 339 MW. According to other information there are six units with 333.6 MW.
