The Jane Peak is a 210 m high Nunatak on Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 800 m west of the northern part of Borge Bay .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out a rough survey in 1933. This was specified in 1947 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the Nunatak in 1954 after the brig Jane of the British navigator James Weddell , with whom he had visited the South Orkney Islands between 1822 and 1823.
