Janusz Turowski (born February 7, 1961 in Bydgoszcz , Poland ) is a former Polish-German football player and coach.

He learned to play football in his hometown with Polonia Bydgoszcz and later with Zawisza Bydgoszcz . His first professional station in the first division was Legia Warsaw and later also Pogoń Stettin . In 1986 he left for Germany and signed a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt , but could only be used in the second half of the 1986/87 season due to a one-year ban as a result of his escape from Poland. Since only two foreigners per team were allowed to play in the Bundesliga, Turowski, who could prove German ancestry, took on German citizenship. He played in Frankfurt for five seasons and won the DFB Cup with Eintracht in 1988 . From 1991 to 1993 he played for two years at VfB Leipzig . After the end of his career he was u. a. worked as a trainer at FV Bad Vilbel and SC Leinefelde in 1912 .
