Jarrah Records is an Australian music label . It was founded in July 2002 by John Butler and The Waifs as their own independent label for these bands. The label's manager is Philip Stevens. The label is named after the Jarrah eucalyptus species ( Eucalyptus marginata ), which is widespread in Western Australia. Jarrah is the Anglicized form of Jerryhl , the name of the Aborigines .
Jarrah Records initially organized the US distribution for the bands, but has also represented both acts in Australia since 2003.
