Jasen Mesić (born June 11, 1972 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian politician and was Croatia's Minister of Culture from December 29, 2010 to December 23, 2011 .
He studied archeology at the University of Zagreb and completed several postgraduate courses, including underwater archeology.
In 2009 he ran for the office of mayor of Zagreb. He was president of the HDZ Zagreb for many years . Mesić is married to Barbara Mesić.
