Jason King (Peter Wyngarde) is a crime writer who writes about the adventures of his hero novel Mark Caine for his publisher Nicola Harvester. But King is also repeatedly involved in criminal cases himself. Always with a brisk phrase on his lips, he fights the criminals he comes into contact with and also makes one or the other female conquest.
