Javier Maroto

Javier Maroto (born January 6, 1972 in Vitoria-Gasteiz ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular .

Life

Maroto studied at the Universidad de Deusto and the University of Navarra . From June 11, 2011 to June 13, 2015, Maroto was mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, succeeding Patxi Lazcoz . From November 20, 2012 to June 30, 2015, Maroto was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Basque Country . Since October 18, 2016, Maroto has been a member of the Congreso de los Diputados . Maroto has been married to José Manuel Rodríguez since 2015.
