Javier de Viana is a town in northern Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the area of the Departamento Artigas in its sector 1 northeast of Cuaró and west of the departmental capital Artigas . Near the village, the Arroyo Tres Cruces Grande flows south .

With the Centro Educativo Integrado Javier de Viana founded on April 16, 2005, Javier de Viana has a secondary school ( Liceo ). In 2008, the school, which covers a catchment area extending from Paso Farías , Colonia Rivera , Bernabé Rivera through Topador , had a student population of 28.
traffic
Javier de Viana is located on Ruta 30 and on the Montevideo - Salto - Artigas railway line with an AFE train station , which connects the town to the capital of the department.
