Shunmugam Jayakumar

Shunmugam Jayakumar (also known as S. Jayakumar ; born August 12, 1939 in Singapore ) is a Singaporean politician ( People's Action Party ) of Indian descent. He was Senior Minister in Lee Hsien Loong's cabinet until 2011 . Before that he was Foreign Minister from 1994 to 2004 and Deputy Prime Minister from 2004 to 2009. In parliament he represented the constituency of Bedok on the east coast of the city.
