Jean-Damascène Bizimana
Jean-Damascène Bizimana (born 1973 or 1974) was a Rwandan diplomat and former Rwandan ambassador to the United Nations .
Life
He was the last ambassador of the Juvénal Habyarimana government to the United Nations. At the time of the attack on the Rwandan president, he was a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council . He was close to many leaders of the Hutu power movement. As a result, he has been charged by some, including General Roméo Dallaire , of Canada , of contributing to the genocide in Rwanda by promoting Hutu propaganda in the West.
In 2010, the journalist David L. Bosco discovered that Bizimana and his family now live in Opelika in the United States , have become a US citizen and work as a quality manager in a plastics manufacturing company.
