Jean-Gustave Courcelle-Seneuil

Jean Gustave Courcelle-Seneuil (born December 22, 1813 in Paris , † June 29, 1892 ibid) was a French professor of economics, journalist and entrepreneur, he was director in the French Ministry of Finance and State Council.

Life

Jean-Gustave Courcelle-Seneuil was a professor of economics in the 19th century and is considered to be one of the pioneers of modern business administration. He has written numerous academic articles and books. His most important work is the book Manuel des Affaires ou Traite theorique et practique des Enterprises industrielles, commerciales et agricoles , published in 1856 . In 1868 the German translation of the book was published with the title Theory and Practice of Business Operations in Agriculture, Industry and Commerce . Together with the works of Arwed Emminghaus and Arnold Lindwurm, it is considered a trailblazer for modern business administration .
