Jean-Maxime Claude
Jean-Maxime Claude (born June 24, 1824 in Paris , † 1904 there ) was a French animal, genre and landscape painter.
Clade was a student of Pierre-Victor Galland .
From 1861 he exhibited in the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and was awarded medals in 1866, 1869 and 1872. He was one of the co-founders of the Société des Watercoloristes. He spent a few years in London .
He showed seven of his works at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900 .
He was made a Knight of the Legion of Honor .
