Jean-Michel Iribarren

Jean-Michel Iribarren (born February 13, 1958 in Dax ) is a French writer .

Life

Jean-Michel Iribarren lived in Paris from 1976-2000 , where he worked for the French Foreign Ministry , and from 2000-2009 in Madrid . Today he lives in Berlin . He is particularly well known as the author of the short story « L'Insecte », a book in which he makes the AIDS virus monologue and denounces the silence that surrounded the death of gays at the beginning of the epidemic.

In 1988 he appeared in the short film "Puissance de la parole" ( The Power of Word ) by Jean-Luc Godard (in the role of Frank, the gas station attendant).
