Jeanne-Philiberte Ledoux (also: Le Doux; * 1767 in Paris ; † October 12, 1840 in Belleville , now Paris) was a French portrait and miniature painter who specialized in portraits of girls and children.

life and work

Ledoux was the student of Jean-Baptiste Greuze and her style remained largely in the 18th century.

In the years 1793-1819 she regularly exhibited portraits, mainly of young girls and children, in the Paris Salon . An influence from Peter Adolf Hall , who also painted miniatures, including a portrait of Ledoux, can be seen in some of her work.
