Jeannette Martins

Jeannette Martins (born October 30, 1967 in Berlin-Friedrichshain ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and former member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

After graduating from high school, Jeannette Martins trained as a landscape gardener. She then studied agricultural education at the Humboldt University Berlin with a diploma in 1993.

In 1989 she was one of the founders of the GDR Green Party . After reunification, she had a seat in the Prenzlauer Berg district council from 1992 to 1995 . She was then elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, to which she belonged until 2001 and again in 2004. There she was from 1997 to 1999 deputy parliamentary group leader of her party and then until 2001 chairwoman of the Committee on School, Youth and Sport.
