The Jebsen Group , consisting of the sister companies Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) and Jebsen & Co., is a family-run Hong Kong trading and logistics company.

details

Jebsen & Co. was founded in Hong Kong in March 1895 by two second cousins, Jacob Jebsen and Heinrich Jessen, who came from Aabenraa (a Prussian district at the time) . Jebsen & Co. initially started as a shipping agency for the shipping company owned by Jebsen's father, who operated a fleet of fourteen coastal steamers on the Chinese coast. In 1897 they were given the flourishing representation of the Badische Anilin- & Soda-Fabrik for Hong Kong and southern China for decades . The field of work quickly expanded into a trading company specializing in China. In January 1909, the subsidiary Jebsen & Jessen Hamburg opened to coordinate the company's trade in Europe. In December 1963, the Jebsen & Jessen Group was founded as the parent company for the operation of the subsidiaries in Singapore and Malaysia.

To date, the focus of business activity has been in East Asia, with Jebsen & Co.'s focus being on the Chinese mainland and Jebsen & Jessen being particularly represented in Southeast Asia. The Jebsen Group as the parent company has subsidiaries in Australia, Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Denmark, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The main business areas of the group are divided into the areas of consumer goods, industrial goods, beverages and luxury products. The entire Jebsen Group generated sales of 13.4 billion Hong Kong dollars (around 1.5 billion euros) in 2017. Jebsen has been trading Porsche automobiles in Hong Kong since 1955 . The Jebsen Motors division today maintains several large Porsche centers in China and describes itself as one of the largest Porsche dealers in the world. Jebsen has been selling beer under the Blue Girl Beer brand since 1906. According to its own statement, the brand is one of the leading beers in Hong Kong.

The group's trademark is a variation of the coat of arms of Aabenraa, the hometown of the founders - it shows three mackerel with a wreath.
