Jeff Maxwell
Jeff Maxwell (born December 7, 1947 ) is an American actor who was best known for his role as Private Igor Straminsky in the television series M * A * S * H.
In the 1970s Maxwell was first seen as an extra in some movies and TV series, before he took over the role of cook Igor in M * A * S * H from the second season . There he can be seen in 77 episodes, making him one of the most common supporting characters.
Maxwell later helped found the production company Smash Cut Entertainment and worked as the casting director for Twentieth Century Fox . Today he is a radio presenter for the broadcaster KFWB News Talk 980 in a joint program with Rick Shoemaker , President of Warner Chappell Music.
In 1997 he published a cookbook with the "Lost Recipes of Private Igor".
