Jefferson Station

The Jefferson Station is an underground passenger station for the regional traffic in downtown Philadelphia in the US -Bundesstaat Pennsylvania . It's located on the corner of Filbert and 12th Street. The station was built together with the Center City Commuter Connection and officially opened on November 12, 1984.

The station has two central platforms on four electrified tracks, which run in the second lowlands in a west-east direction. Above this is a distribution level that extends over the neighboring department stores and office buildings. The exits to the street are on the ground floors of the surrounding office buildings.

With 12,675 passengers per day, the station is the second busiest passenger station in downtown Philadelphia after Suburban Station .
