Jenaplanhaus Lübbenau
The Jenaplanhaus is a listed building in the town of Lübbenau / Spreewald in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in the south of Brandenburg . Today the Jenaplanhaus is a primary school .

The Jenaplanhaus is located at Poststraße 29a near the Lübbenau train station in the direction of the old town. It was built in 1956. The building is a massive plastered building with a U-shaped floor plan with two floors and a hipped roof .
history
From the late 1940s, the city council of Lübbenau campaigned for a new school to be built, but initially without much success. The construction of a new 16-class school building in what was then Ernst-Thälmann- Strasse (today's Poststrasse) did not begin until April 3, 1955, and the foundation stone was laid on May 8, 1955. The construction of the school was subsidized by the GDR Ministry for Public Education with a construction sum of around DM 1.7 million . The VEB "Kreisbaubetrieb Lübben" was commissioned with the construction . The school opened on April 15, 1957.
On April 24, 1957, classes were held for the first time in the Jenaplanhaus, in the building classes took place from grade four, the lower grades continued to be taught in the old school building in today's Schulstrasse. Later, what was then called the 1st Central School became a Polytechnic High School . At first the school was nameless until it was named Lenin High School on April 22, 1970 . After the fall of the Wall , the building was initially used as a secondary school.
In 2005, today's Jenaplan School , which also includes a kindergarten , moved into the building. In the 2011/12 school year around 140 pupils attended primary school and 30 other children attended kindergarten.
