Jenny Buttress is a 200  m high rock massif on the east coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 4 km north of Melville Peak above Destruction Bay .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the sealers Jenny from the Isle of Wight , which 17 years after the last logbook entry of Captain in September 1840, seven deaths on board the whaler Hope in the Drake Passage was discovered drifting.
