Jenny Canales

Jenny Canales (* 1947 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean artist, gallery owner and poet.

Live and act

Jenny Canales was born in Chile, lived in the USA for a while and immigrated to Germany in 1974. Today she lives in Gelsenkirchen . She completed her studies at the art academy in Santiago de Chile. Since her youth she has been writing poetry in her native Spanish .

In 1990 Jenny Canales founded the Literaria LIGG (Gelsenkirchen Literary Interest Group) . With her gallery “Art in the City” she has created a contact point for artists, authors and interested parties, where exhibitions and readings take place on a regular basis.
