The Jenosero ( Russian Енозеро ) is a lake in the Russian Oblast of Murmansk . It is located in the northeast of the Kola Peninsula at an altitude of 224 m.
The Jenosero has a water area of 94.4 km², including islands, the total area is about 100 km². The catchment area of the lake covers 982 km². The Jenosero is divided into two parts, an eastern and a western one, which are connected by a sound that is only 350 m wide.
The river Kosel ( Козель ) flows through the lake Chiliyavr, which is neighboring in the northwest, and flows into the western part of the Jenosero. The Warsina drains the lake to the north to the Barents Sea .
