Jens Petersen (politician)

Jens Petersen (born September 27, 1970 in Düsseldorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2005 to 2012 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Life

Petersen graduated from high school in Düsseldorf in 1989 and then completed a degree in business administration at the University of Dortmund until 1995 , which he completed with a doctorate. Since then he has been working as a management consultant and is a member of the management of a medium-sized management consultancy.

politics

Petersen has been a member of the CDU and the Junge Union since 1987. From 1994 to 2001 he was a member of the district council in the Zoo and Flingern district. From 2004 to 2006 he was deputy chairman of the CDU Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsvereinigung Düsseldorf. Since June 8, 2005 he has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, where he was elected to parliament through a direct mandate in constituency 41 . He is a full member of the Committee on Budgetary Control and the Committee on Budget and Finance. In the state elections in 2010 he was able to defend his seat but lost it in the state elections in 2012.
