The electoral district winner, Karl-Heinz Krems, was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice before the constituent session of the state parliament on May 31, 2012 and therefore did not take up his mandate. Monika Düker from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, who was drawn in via the state list, is the only candidate to have a mandate, since Jens Petersen from the CDU did not enter the state parliament via the state list either.
