The state electoral district Rhein-Erft-Kreis II is a state electoral district in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the cities of Frechen , Hürth and Kerpen , the latter with the exception of the districts Balkhausen, Brüggen and Türnich, which belong to the state electoral district of Rhein-Erft-Kreis III .
history
In order to redistribute the constituencies in 1980, the constituency Erftkreis II was assigned the communities of Frechen, Hürth and Pulheim . In 1990 the area was expanded to include part of Bergheim . In 2000 the constituencies in Erftkreis were completely redistributed, Erftkreis II now comprised Bergheim and Pulheim. In 2005 the next re-division took place, Frechen, Hürth and Kerpen formed the new constituency Rhein-Erft-Kreis II , which was changed again in 2010 when the Kerpen districts Balkhausen, Brüggen and Türnich were assigned to the constituency Rhein-Erft-Kreis III .

The constituency is represented in the state parliament by the directly elected constituency member Frank Rock, who was able to win back the constituency mandate for the CDU after five years. The previous MP Brigitte Dmoch-Schweren left the state parliament because her 47th place on the SPD state list was not enough.
