The Soest II state electoral district is a state electoral district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the municipalities of Anröchte , Erwitte , Geseke , Lippstadt , Rüthen and Warstein . The area has existed in this form since the state elections in 1980, with the exception of the municipality of Rüthen, which was assigned to an electoral district in the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2000 and 2005 .

116,169 residents were entitled to vote. The turnout was 64.1%.

In addition to the constituency member Jörg Blöming, who was able to defeat the previous mandate holder Marlies Stotz (SPD) and thus recaptured the constituency for the CDU after five years, this also came out on the state list number nine of their party as well as the FDP candidate Christof Rasche, who ranked seven of the state list of free democrats ran into the state parliament. The previous Green MP Dagmar Hanses, on the other hand, resigned from parliament because her number 19 in the state list was no longer sufficient due to the losses of her party.

116,899 residents were entitled to vote. The turnout was 58.3%.
