Town twinning

The Anröchte community has been sponsoring the Radków (Wünschelburg) community in Poland since 1954 . This was decided on December 12, 1952 by the council of the municipality of Anröchte and officially recorded on June 6, 1954. At the same time, a street in Anröchte was named accordingly. The basis of this sponsorship was the fact that around 40 Wünschelburger in Anröchte had found a new home in the Anröchte community after the end of the war and organized regular home meetings and celebrations. Over the years, a partnership between the two municipalities has developed from the sponsorship. The council of the municipality of Anröchte unanimously decided on November 5, 1991 to conclude a partnership agreement with Radkow / Wünschelburg. The partnership document was signed on November 29, 1991 during a special meeting of the council in Radkow / Wünschelburg. The content of this agreement is the establishment and expansion of mutual friendly relationships in the fields of culture, art, education, science, health, technology and sport. The cooperation between the two municipalities is in the service of international understanding and is intended to promote progress in the aforementioned areas and the economic development of the partner municipalities. Mutual visits take place at regular intervals with the involvement of clubs and associations. There was a particularly intensive exchange of pupils between the schools almost every year. In 1994, through many personal contacts, an association called the Anröchte-Radkow Partnership was formed. This association promoted the development and expansion of mutual friendly relationships between the communities. It was disbanded in 2015.
