Uelde is a part of the municipality of Anröchte in the Soest district .

geography

The place is about one kilometer south of Anröchte on federal highway 55 . District road 8 runs through the town. Adjacent towns are Mellrich , Altenmellrich , Anröchte, Belecke , Effeln and Waldhausen .

history

Uelde was mentioned for the first time in 1072 in a document from the Grafschaft monastery . In 1904 the St. Antonius Chapel was built in the center of the village.

Before 1 January 1975, Uelde was a separate municipality in office Anröchte in county Lippstadt . With the entry into force of the Münster / Hamm Act , the municipalities of the Anröchte office were merged to form the new municipality of Anröchte and the Lippstadt district with the previous district of Soest to form the new district of Soest .
