The constituency is represented by the directly elected constituency member Sarah Philipp (SPD), who has been a member of the state parliament since 2012. The CDU direct candidate Petra Vogt initially did not win a mandate because the state list of her party did not move due to the high number of direct mandates. However, on June 30, 2017, she replaced Jan Heinisch , who had been appointed State Secretary in the Laschet cabinet . The previous Green MP Birgit Beisheim resigned from parliament because her 21st place on the list no longer moved due to the losses of her party.
