Birgit Beisheim (born May 1, 1962 in Hamm ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012, she was elected as a member of the 16th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and was a member of this until the constitution of the 17th state parliament on May 31, 2017.

Beisheim ran for election in the Duisburg I state electoral district , where she received 9.0% of the first vote. Sarah Philipp (SPD) won the constituency . Beisheim won her state parliament mandate from 29th place - the last place on the list that still received a mandate - on the state list of the Greens.

The chemist, who has a doctorate, is an entrepreneur and runs a service company, AMCO united , which was spun off from the MIM iron and steel works in Duisburg . Beisheim sits on the sports committee of the city of Duisburg and was the second deputy mayor of the Duisburg-Süd district council until 2012 .

Beisheim is married and has one son. She volunteers in the Duisburg Philharmonic Choir and in the Verein Gegen Vergessen - für Demokratie .
