The state electoral district of Essen II is a state electoral district in Essen in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the districts VI (Zollverein) and VII (Steele / Kray) as well as the districts of Huttrop and Frillendorf , which belong to the district I.
The constituency was rebuilt for the 2005 state election. It was roughly a merger of the previous constituencies of Essen III and Essen IV , which also changed their layout. From 1980, Essen III initially only consisted of the city district VI, in 2000 Altenessen (city district V) was added. Essen IV only included the city district VII before Huttrop and Frillendorf were added. At that time, Essen II consisted of the city districts IV and V, today they form the state electoral district of Essen I - Mülheim II .

The electoral district's 109,689 residents were entitled to vote in the 2017 state elections . The turnout was 60.2%.
