The state constituency of Warendorf II includes the communities of Ahlen , Beckum , Drensteinfurt , Sendenhorst and Wadersloh in the Warendorf district . Up to and including the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1995, Sendenhorst was part of the Warendorf I state electoral district .

The CDU candidate Henning Rehbaum was able to win back the constituency for the Christian Democrats, which he had lost to the SPD in his first election in 2012. The previous constituency member Annette Watermann-Krass of the SPD was able to move into the state parliament with her state list position 13, as did the FDP direct candidate Markus Diekhoff (list position 20) and the candidate of the AfD candidate, Christian Blex (list position 14). The Green Ali Baş, who only moved up to the state parliament in 2013, was not enough on the state list to continue to belong to the state parliament.
