Markus Diekhoff (born May 19, 1978 in Halle , Westphalia) is a German politician ( FDP ) from Drensteinfurt and has been an elected member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since the state elections in 2017 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1998, the native Westphalian studied political science, public law and economic policy at the University of Münster. He completed his studies in 2008 with a master's (Magister Artium). He then worked as a scientific consultant until 2017. Since 2016 he has been working independently in the real estate industry.

politics

Diekhoff joined the FDP in 2004 as a student. After moving to the Warendorf district , he became a member of the Warendorf district council in 2009 and later chairman of the FDP parliamentary group. In his home town of Drensteinfurt, he took over the chairmanship of the local FDP branch there in 2010, before he also became chairman of the FDP in the Warendorf district and deputy chairman of the FDP district of Münsterland in 2012. Since the state party conference on April 14 and 15, 2018, he has also been a member of the state executive committee of the FDP North Rhine-Westphalia.

In the North Rhine-Westphalian state elections in May 2017, he entered the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia via his party's state list. In the state electoral district of Warendorf II he received 6.8% of the first votes. For the parliamentary group of the FDP he is spokesman for the environment, agriculture, nature and hunting as well as spokesman for the study commission - digital transformation of the working world in North Rhine-Westphalia.
