The state electoral district of Münster I is one of two state electoral districts in the independent city of Münster in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Its area includes the city districts north and east as well as that part of the city district west , which lies north of the Aa and part of the city district center , located north of the following line:

"From the Torminbrücke in the middle of the Aasees to the Aegidiitor; along the promenade to the Mauritztor, Warendorfer Strasse to the Münster-Osnabrück railway line; south of the railway line to Wolbecker Strasse. Continue on Wolbecker Strasse, Sternstrasse to the Hohenzollernring. In a northerly direction to to the street St. Mauritz Freiheit; from there over the Mauritz Lindenweg and the street Zum Guten Hirten to the eastern border of the city district Mitte ( Dortmund-Ems Canal ). For traffic lines or bodies of water, the middle is the border line. "

In addition to the elected constituency member Simone Wendland (CDU), who was able to win back the mandate after five years from the SPD, the direct candidate Josefine Paul, who has been a member of parliament since 2010, was elected to the state parliament via the eleventh place on the state list of her party . The previous constituency member Thomas Marquardt resigned from parliament because his 40th place on the SPD state list did not move. Because the pirates failed to pass the 5% hurdle , their previous MP Daniel Düngel resigned from the state parliament.
