The state constituency of Oberhausen I is a state constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the Oberhausen districts of Alt-Oberhausen and Osterfeld .
The constituency layout was changed significantly for the 2005 state elections. Oberhausen I previously comprised the districts of Osterfeld and Sterkrade , while Alt-Oberhausen formed the constituency of Oberhausen II .

The constituency is represented in the state parliament by the first elected MP Sonja Bongers (SPD), who succeeded the long-time SPD MP Wolfgang Große Brömer, who no longer ran after 17 years. The CDU candidate Wilhelm Hausmann initially resigned from parliament because the CDU state list did not move. On July 4, 2019 , he moved into the state parliament for his party friend Stefan Berger , who was elected to the European Parliament .
