The Landtag constituency Rhein-Erft-Kreis I is a Landtag constituency in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the cities of Bedburg , Bergheim , Pulheim and Elsdorf in the Rhein-Erft district .
history
When it was rebuilt for the 1980 state elections, the Erftkreis I constituency still comprised the communities of Bedburg, Bergheim, Elsdorf and Kerpen . In 1990 a part of Bergheim was assigned to the constituency Erftkreis II , in 2000 the constituency Erftkreis I lost Bergheim completely. The current division has existed since 2005.

In addition to the directly elected CDU member Romina Plonsker, who was able to win back the constituency after five years for the CDU, the previous SPD constituency member Guido van den Berg was also elected to parliament via 14th place on the SPD state list. Van den Berg died on May 2, 2019.
