Hans Krings

Hans Krings (born October 13, 1942 in St. Vith , Belgium ) is a German SPD politician .

education and profession

After completing his Abitur in 1963 and completing his military service as an officer in the Bundeswehr in 1967, Hans Krings studied economics from 1967 to 1974 at Saarland University, Saarbrücken. He completed this course in 1974 with a degree in economics. He completed his legal clerkship for the general higher administrative service in the state administration of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1974 to 1977. In 1977 he passed the state examination for the higher general administrative service. From 1977 to 1989 he was head of department and head of department in various departments at the Cologne district government. Krings acted as permanent representative of the police chief in Aachen from 1989 to 1990. In 1990 he became department head of the Düsseldorf district government, which he remained until 1995.

From 2003 to 2005 he was State Secretary to the Interior Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Hans Krings has been a member of the SPD since 1969. From 1980 to 2000 he was chairman of the Kerpen city association of the SPD. He was deputy chairman of the sub-district Erftkreis of the SPD from 1983 to 2001. Since 2001 he has been chairman of the sub-district Erftkreis of the SPD. Krings was chairman of the Kerpen-Horrem local association of the SPD from 1977 to 1982. He held this position again from 1999 to 2001. He was a member of the Kerpen City Council from 1989 to 1999. Krings has been a member of the ÖTV trade union since 1976.

Hans Krings was a directly elected member of the 12th and 13th state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1995 to April 30, 2003.
