The state electoral district of Recklinghausen V is a state electoral district in the Recklinghausen district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It includes the communities of Castrop-Rauxel and Waltrop as well as the district electoral district II in the southeast of the community of Datteln .
The constituency was newly formed for the 2005 state elections. In 2000 it still included Gladbeck and parts of Dorsten , which today roughly corresponds to the Recklinghausen III state constituency . Before that, it included the district town of Recklinghausen , which is now covered by the Recklinghausen I state constituency .

The traditionally social democratic-oriented constituency is represented in the state parliament by the directly elected constituency member Lisa-Kristin Kapteinat (SPD), who has appeared for the first time. The previous member of the Green Party, Mario Krüger, was no longer on the state list, meaning that his departure from the state parliament was practically certain before the election.
