Lothar Hegemann (born April 20, 1947 in Recklinghausen ) is a German politician and was a member of the state parliament ( CDU ) several times .

Life and work

After attending primary and secondary school , he completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant . From 1975 to 2003 he was a self-employed insurance salesman .

Hegemann has been a member of the CDU since 1967. He was active in numerous party committees, so u. a. as a member of the state board of the CDU North Rhine-Westphalia.

MP

He was a member of the Recklinghausen City Council from 1975 to 1996. He has been a member of the Recklinghausen district council since 1999 .

From May 29, 1980 to June 2, 2005 and from September 6, 2006 to May 2010, Hegemann was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . Since the state list of the CDU for the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 did not come into play, Hegemann missed entry into the state parliament ; In 2012 he moved back into the state parliament via the state list. At the end of the 2017 legislative period, he left the state parliament.

criticism

Greenpeace criticizes (e.g. in the 'Black Book of Coal Policy') that Hegemann played a decisive role in the planning of the opencast mine (for example in Garzweiler) during his time as 'Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection and Regional Planning' (Landtag NRW).
