The state electoral district of Cologne II is one of seven Cologne electoral districts for the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia . Since 2005, it has covered the entire Lindenthal district .

When it was founded in 1980, the Cologne II constituency still comprised the Rodenkirchen district , later parts of the Neustadt-Süd district , which belongs to the city center district, were added . Rodenkirchen as well as Neustadt-Süd and Altstadt-Süd now form the Cologne I state electoral district . The district of Lindenthal was covered by the Cologne III state electoral district until 2000 .

Election day for the state election in North Rhine-Westphalia 2017 is Sunday, May 14th 2017. 113,432 citizens were eligible to vote in the constituency. The final election result is as follows:

In addition to the constituency winner Bernd Petelkau of the CDU, who was able to remove the direct mandate from the SPD after five years, the AfD candidate Rober Beckamp was elected to the state parliament on second place on his party's state list. The previous constituency member Lisa Steinmann (SPD) resigned from the state parliament because her state list position 53 was not enough for a mandate.
