Bernd Petelkau

Bernd Petelkau (born February 10, 1965 in Cologne ) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).

Life

Petelkau completed his studies at the University of Cologne with a degree in business administration. He was from 2002 to May 2016 as head of credit portfolio management and authorized the Euro Hypo AG and subsequently worked as a department manager and authorized representative of the LSF Loan Solutions Frankfurt GmbH, which ceased 31 December 2018 its operations. In the end, Petelkau only worked part-time. Since then he has been working full-time as a politician.

Petelkau, who has been a member of the CDU since 1982 , was elected chairman of the CDU-Stadtbezirksverband Köln-Lindenthal in 2011 . On May 25, 2014 he was elected to the Cologne City Council. On May 14, 2017, he succeeded in entering the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in the Cologne II state electoral district as a direct candidate. He is chairman of the CDU city association of Cologne and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Cologne city council.

Private

Petelkau is married and has four children. He lives in Cologne- Müngersdorf .
