Henning Rehbaum (born September 10, 1973 in Hiltrup ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2012 .

Life

Henning Rehbaum grew up in the Warendorf district and graduated from high school in Wolbeck in 1993 . After completing basic military service, he began training at Claas in 1994 , which he completed in 1996. Between February and September of the same year he worked in marketing and sales promotion at Claas. In the winter semester of 1996 he began studying business administration at Heilbronn University . After completing his studies, he took over his parents' company Verkehrsbetriebe Bils in 2000 . In 2010 he handed over the management of the company, which was followed by a position as head of the “Finance, Human Resources and Legal” department at Westfälische Verkehrsgesellschaft .

Rehbaum joined the CDU in 1998. Between 2004 and 2009 he was a member of the city council of Sendenhorst . He stood in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 87 (Warendorf II) . He received 38.9% of the first votes. Due to his number 38 on the list, he moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia after the state election in 2012. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he ran again in the state electoral district of Warendorf II and received 44.8% of the votes and thus moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia as a directly elected member. Since 2017 he has been the spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the Committee for Economic Affairs, Energy and State Planning. In addition to the Committee for Economics, Energy and Regional Planning, he is also a member of the Transport Committee. He is a deputy member of the Committee for Family, Children and Youth as well as for Europe and International Affairs as well as the Council of Elders.
