Demiricous is an American death and thrash metal band from Indianapolis , Indiana , that was formed in 2001.
history
The band was formed on Halloween 2001 by bassist and vocalist Nate Olp, guitarist Scott Wilson and drummer Chris Cruz. Half a year later, Ben Parrish (ex- Upheaval ) joined the band as the second guitarist. Together they developed the first songs and released two demos in the following years. As a result, the band reached a contract with Metal Blade Records and released their debut album One (Hellbound) in 2006 . This was followed by various live performances with bands such as Exodus , King Diamond and Malevolent Creation . Drummer Chris Cruz dropped out soon after and was replaced by Mike Rafferty ( Brand New Sin ) for a tour with Himsa and Ringworm . This was followed by further appearances with Nodes of Ranvier , If Hope Dies and Still Remains . In late October of the same year, the band performed in North America with Vital Remains , Grave and Dismember . Then began work on another album, with Dustin Boltjes now playing the drums. The album was released in October 2007 and mixed by Erik Rutan ( Morbid Angel , Hate Eternal ).
style
The band plays an aggressive mix of Thrash and Death Metal, with the music being very similar to Slayer's .
