Erik Rutan (* 1971 ) is an American musician and record producer who became known mainly for his engagement with the death metal band Hate Eternal .

Career

With Ripping Corpse he recorded the album Dreaming with the Dead in 1991 . He then played for a short period of time with Morbid Angel before founding the bands Alas and Hate Eternal in the mid-1990s . For the recordings of the album Gateways to Annihilation he returned to Morbid Angel around 2000 and was occasionally available to the band as a live musician.

As a guest musician, Rutan can be heard on releases by Annotations of an Autopsy , Cannibal Corpse , In Battle , Lizzy Borden , Misery Index , Nile and Ritual Carnage, among others . In the field of music production he worked on recordings for Aeon , Avulsed , Cannabis Corpse , Cannibal Corpse, Cellador , Demiricous , Ephel Duath , Goatwhore , In Battle, Malevolent Creation , Morbid Angel, Nile, Six Feet Under , Soilent Green , Torture Killer and Vital Remains .
