Annotations of an Autopsy is a British metal band formed in 2006 . Initially the band played deathcore , later their style of music changed to death metal .
history
Annotations of an Autopsy was founded in 2006 by singer Steve Regan and guitarist Jamie Sweeny in Lowestoft / Suffolk . Later three other musicians joined with Al Clayton ( guitar ), Ross Davey ( bass ) and Dan Hasselgoff ( drums ). Just a year later, the band was signed by Siege Of Amida Records and produced, among other things, their debut EP Welcome to Sludge City .

In 2008 the debut album Before the Throne of Infection , which was distributed by Ferret Music in the States , was released. Then Annotations of an Autopsy went on tour for the first time. In August 2008 Dan Hasselgoff left the band and was replaced by Lyn Jeffs ( Nexus Inferis ). Bassist Ross Davey got out and had to be temporarily replaced by Sean Hynes, as the band was now under contract with Nuclear Blast . The band went on tour with the two musicians in autumn 2008 with Dying Fetus and Cannibal Corpse , after which the rhythm section had to be reorganized: Hynes had recorded the guitar parts for the album, but the drum parts had to be recorded by Bradley Merry.
In autumn 2009, they wanted, together with Vital Remains , Beneath the Massacre and The Faceless by North American tour, but we had to cancel because you no visa has received for the tour; the band found a new bass player in Nath Applegate.
In January 2010 their second studio album The Reign of Darkness was finally released under Nuclear Blast in record stores. In March of the same year the band played as opening act for Suffocation . From June to August 2010 Annotations of an Autopsy were on tour in Germany , during which they played a concert at the Summerblast Festival in Trier . After the Germany tour, another tour followed in the USA .
In March 2012, the group is touring together with My Autumn , frontside and Drown My Day by Poland .
On January 12, 2013 the band played their last concert in Waterfront, Norwich. According to their Facebook fan page, they would now like to devote themselves to new projects, but it is also possible that there will be another revival in a few years.
